Stash & Hyde is the passion project of a self-taught small batch leather crafter from right here in The Beaches. Every single item, from wallets to tote bags to camera straps, is hand cut, hand-stitched, hand finished and most importantly, made to last.
I have always appreciated the skill and creativity of the maker community, and as an amateur photographer I like to think of myself as a creative person. After trying plenty of hobbies and not finding myself fulfilled, I got my start in leather crafting by getting a beginner's kit as a gift from my wife.
I was immediately hooked by the sense of accomplishment of creating something with my own hands...something that I still feel every time I complete a project, regardless of size or complexity. I take immense pride that every single item I make, from wallets to tote bags to camera straps, is hand cut, hand-stitched, hand finished and most importantly, made to last.
I have only just begun my creative journey with leather and continue to learn through every item I make and every new technique I try. I look forward to being able to look back in 20 or 30 years time and be truly thankful of the gift that got me started.
