Welcome to Sew Bella!
So where do I begin? These have certainly been some interesting times for all of us, with many new challenges, but also many new opportunities! For some that may be picking up neglected but cherished activities, catching up on Netflix, or learning some new things, and for others (myself included) perhaps cleaning those areas of the house we’ve overlooked for too long. While doing so I rediscovered my good old sewing machine in my basement after 15 years of collecting dust and thought what a great opportunity this is to start getting back into sewing by learning how to make face masks... something everyone is scrambling to get and could use right now to help protect them day to day!
After countless hours of watching ‘DIY’ and ‘How to’ videos on YouTube, sewing practice, and making different size samples for family to try, I have finally mastered mask making! I’m so excited to be able to provide them to all you and to those in need, while also doing our part in helping save N95’s for healthcare and frontline workers! So far the responses I’ve received from family and friends that I’ve made masks for have been incredibly positive, which makes me so happy, and I’m super excited to share them with all of you too!
